New GPU server up and running

It takes a lot of computing power to train our neural networks for face recognition. A couple of weeks ago, NVIDIA introduced their new generation of GPUs, the GeForce RTX 2080 Ti, featuring a whopping number of 4352 GPU cores. We went for it immediately, and here it is: our new machine-learning server, equipped with 4 GPUs and an AMD Threadripper CPU, multiplying our previous computing power.

The next generation

We are looking forward to introduce our next generation face recognition early in 2019. It will come with a significantly increased recognition quality as well as GPU acceleration for real-time operation.
